Today was an exciting day as we welcomed our partner school students from Treviglio, Italy, to Warsaw! Their journey began early in the morning at Bergamo Airport, where they boarded their flight to Poland. After a smooth trip, they landed at Warsaw Chopin Airport, full of anticipation and excitement for the days ahead. From the airport, they headed straight to our school for a brief visit before continuing with the day’s activities.
After this short introduction to our school, we set off to experience traditional Polish cuisine at the famous Zapiecek Restaurant. The Italian students were eager to try pierogis, Poland’s beloved dumplings, and barszcz, a traditional beetroot soup. For many of them, it was their first time tasting these dishes, and they were pleasantly surprised by the rich flavors and comforting warmth of Polish food. Between bites, we exchanged stories about our cultures, traditions, and expectations for the upcoming days.
The first day was filled with new experiences, warm welcomes, and great food. Although the Italian students were a bit tired from their journey, their excitement and curiosity were evident. We are all looking forward to the next days, full of exploration and shared moments!
