Day 2: Thursday, 14 May – Active Citizenship & Urban Exploration

We spent our first morning visiting our hosting organization, the Platon school, where we received an official welcome and a guided tour of the campus. Right after, we dived into the academic part of our project with the two-part „EuCognita Workshop”. These interactive sessions focused on the inner workings of European Institutions, core EU values, and the importance of democratic participation among youth. In the afternoon, we transitioned to a city activity: a Digital Treasure Hunt in Katerini using the Actionbound app. Working in teams, our task was to explore the local urban landscape to identify European cultural and architectural influences. We wrapped up this intense day in the evening with an insightful Oxford-style debate centered on „The role of EU institutions in the daily lives of young Greeks and Poles”.
