Dublin – Day 2

We participated in an extended seated meditation practice and then took time to talk about what we experienced during that moment of stillness. The main lessons of the day explored the history of mindfulness and the science behind it, looking closely at how practicing focused attention can actually change the brain and help us manage our emotions better. We discussed the real mental and physical benefits of these techniques, focusing on how they help teachers prevent burnout and help students lower their stress levels. The day ended with practical workshops on focused attention exercises, showing us clearly how even very short activities can help students settle down and focus in the classroom.
