We looked at how mindfulness is being built into different school systems across Europe and reviewed the history of mindfulness in education. A big part of our day was spent talking about the right pedagogical language and terms to use in the classroom, as well as how to keep things socially inclusive. We discussed practical methods to change and adapt these sensory and mental exercises for different age groups and students with special educational needs (SEN), making sure mindfulness is a tool that works for everyone. The session ended with an introduction to heartfulness practices, showing us how to build more empathy, care, and kindness across the whole school environment.
